The River Cities Credit union in the past has given out the Joseph Carrigan Memorial scholarship. They are now under the Frontier Credit Union. They are still honoring this scholarship, but the deadline is now Feb. 28. The application is attached. If you get them to me by tFeb. 27, I will deliver them to Leavenworth.
GPACAC Scholarship
GPACAC proudly offers annual scholarships to students attending high school in the three GPACAC membership states, Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma. The scholarships include the counselor nominated, student scholarship, and Paul Max service scholarship. The due date is February 15. Applications can be found at https://www.gpacac.net/scholarships.
Student Scholarship ($1000 awarded to one Kansas student)
· Have a cumulative high school grade point average of 3.0 or higher (or equivalent)
· Complete the application and submit an essay (500 word maximum): Tell us three things that are important to you. How will these things remain important to you through college and beyond?
Paul Max Service Scholarship ($1000 awarded to one student in the GPACAC region)
· Have a cumulative high school grade point average of 3.0 or higher (or equivalent)
· Have completed a minimum of 100 community service hours from freshman year to date of application
· Complete the application and answer the essay question (500 word maximum): Describe a specific community service experience. How did the experience affect you? How did it impact your leadership?
