Local Scholarships

Local scholarships typically have fewer applicants than national or university scholarships.  This means you have a smaller group of people you are competing against, so you have a better chance of winning if you turn in a quality application.

Clubs for kids scholarship

Joel Wilburn Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is for students wanting to go into a field related to some type of public service.  See Mrs. Shugart for the application.  Deadline is April 25th.

Ministerial Alliance Scholarship

Up to $200

At Least a 1500 word essay addressing the following question:

How has your “Faith in a Higher Power” helped shape your high school years and how has your high school years helped shape your “Faith in a Higher Power?”

Due by Tuesday, April 24th 10:00 p.m.

Local Scholarships for Women

PEO Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria:

  • Exhibits excellence in academics; extracurricular activities; and leadership
  • Has a minimum cumulative GPA 3.0 (high school or pre-requisite college courses)
  • Plans to attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution in the United States
  • Approved by vote of the members of the PEO Chapter J Atchison, KS
